Blogging with Mr. B for 1st block Creative Writing

Okay, so here's the deal. Instead of being in Nashville, Tennessee, where I'm supposed to be right now getting ready for presentations at a conference, I'm stuck in Denver, Colorado. Anyone seen Planes, Trains, and Automobiles? I'm living it right now!

So, as I wait for my pizza to be delivered to the hotel I have to stay in, I thought I'd get you started for tomorrow, since I might not be at a handy-dandy computer when your blogging session rolls around.

Here's what I want to know from each of you...

What is it about writing creatively, from the heart, that interests YOU? Not why others do it. What about your experiences with writing is interesting to you?

Answer that question with full purpose and detail. Be honest here. Yes, others will see your posts and laugh hysterically, but who cares??? Be honest with yourself for once and be bold enough to include those thoughts here in the blogosphere.

Remember to put your first name and last initial at the bottom of your post each time. No name or full name = NO CREDIT. Yes, that's ticky-tack. Yes, you're big kids now with big kid skills. First name, last initial.

I think when you wirte creativly you have to use what you feel in your heart. When you think of an idea it is usually because you have seen something similer or had personal experiance. This makes you relate to the writing more and you can be more creative.

i like writing creativly because it is something i can use my imagination with and have fun. There are less guidlines to creative writing, it is more free.

I personaly like to be creative in anything i do so i thought that taking creative writing would be a chance for me to test my boundries. I have not yet run into a wall with my writing. I always come up with completely random stuff to write about. My personal interests in writing creativly is that i can make the characters do anything i want. I can let them fly or breath underwater. There are no boundries for the way i write and i think that, that is my strongest quality as a writer is that im not afraid to play with the enviroment of the characters so that the story stays interesting and fun for the reader and for myself.

The reason that I like to wrtie creativly is because when i get going I put myself in that place. Thats why I like to wrtie about hunting some much becase I dont get to do it all the time. It is just fun to write about things that you like. On other wrtings though it is hard so i try to think creatviely so the story is more interesting to the readers. But have fun down there eating pizza in your hotel. I wish I could go to Nashville.

When you write what you feel it is nobody elses and that is cool. You write your own views and you write what you think. There is room for more creativity then when you have to write about a certain subject. shawn t

Umm, well what interests me in my creative writing is the fact that I am writing it. Even if know one else understands what's the real meaning of this is I will know. It's kind of a personal thing. I think my favorite kind of writing would have to be non-fiction writing.

It is writing from the heart its more deep than just writing something that no one cares about you put more of your feeling into it and it should be way more fun than just writing some paper for a class.

I like writing storys about dumb stuff like alex's life, shooting people, fishing trips, allens face, hitting people with live cats, and bean dipping. It makes writing more fun to be able to write what you want.

Writing creatively is one of my most favorite type of writing style because I can create my own stories that don't have to be true. I can make anything up or twist true stories that I have came across to make it my own. I like to make up my own stories because it gets me thinking more than if I were to put together a true story. Creative writing gets me to think more if I'm trying to make my own story.

Who really cares why I write. I just do. What genre, you ask? I try to mix it up a tad bit. I've written fantasy, action/adventure, science fiction, science fantasy, horror, humor, romance, suspense, poetry, short stories, flash-fiction, essays... Shall I go on?

I write because I enjoy the characters. It's like I live in another world when I write (which if you live in the Real World, you'll know it sucks eggs). It is an escape from the norm of reality.

Fantasy is one of my favorite genres because it gives so much room to create characters. And I don't mean just personality wise. I mean in physical appearance, too. And the worlds you can create are simply incredible. Science fiction is much the same, and offers more in the lines of setting.

I have a tendancey to mix genres, too. One of my favorite stories I'm writing is called 50047, a sience fiction/fantasy setting 50000 years from now.

But I'm a terrible writer, in my own opinion. So this really doesn't matter much.

Writing the setting and explaining my deepest senses is what interests me in creative writing. These senses are usually best described in the outdoors, since that is where I spend most of time. In this class, we experiment with a lot of different things I have never done before, that is what also interests me. Nick H.

I like creative writing because you can express yourself in words and add more emphisis and meaning it seems. You can also write your deepest secrets or sad thought in any form to help you get it out.

creative writing to me is using your imagination a lot and being very creative. Its a way to write your fullest. You can express yourself deeply and write from your heart. It can be really meaniful, or it can fun. It gets you to think a lot and use a part of the brain that isn't used very much. Creative writing can be beautiful if you strive for the best of your abilities.

i know that i like to write because it is something that feels good to me.i remember having to do writers workshop when i was in the 3rd, and even back then just loving to write. one of the reasons i love to write is because i can say anything that comes to my mind, and if i decide that i don't like that way that that turned out, i can just erase it and try again. oh, how i wish i could do that while i was talking too. i'm not sure really how to explain it, writing just feels right to me when i do it.

If you write with your heart that means your having a good time writting which means that your writting assignment will get done. plus its a way to let people know how sensitive you can be. (I know that sounds silly):S

writing creativly, hmm. well i suppose that it's some sort of artistic realeas or cleanse. for me every different form of art dose somthing different; sometimes it aids in self discovery, expression of expeiriance or of curiousity, but, for me, when it comes to writing, it's like a colon cleanse for my soul. what inspires me to write, hmm. usually some sort new information that either inspires me, or makes me angry, or just genuinly interested. by-Sarah E.

to me the phenominon of writing is extreamly amazing. when your reading a truly good peice of writing you can see that persons transition from the emotions that they're feeling, into beautifully articulated words.
